Mandara LTD is a private company funded in 2019 and established in Kyoto, the ancient imperial capital of Japan.

Mandara specializes in Foodtech innovation for food products, services and improvement of consumer experience.

Innovation is about finding the right technologies but also working with the most suitable partners. It requires nurturing human relationships to build trust, sharing information and vision in order to enable a successful collaboration. Finally it involves imagination, ambition, risk taking and commitment.

Innovating in food is not easy task as people are bound by cultural habit and preferences. However, with the rapid development of digital technologies and biotechnologies, the food ecosystem is transforming. Consumers today want more than safety, good taste and affordable prices: their demands have shifted towards more healthy ingredients, minimal processing and supply chain transparency. In the coming years, we can expect to see many more products and services improving the consumer experience, interaction and mass customization.

Innovation is not anymore the results of R&D Labs. Disrupting innovation is already coming from different industries, different places, non conventional organizations like start-ups led by a new generation of entrepreneurs.

OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE

I am an independent consultant in innovation and collaboration. During my 20 years of career, I have worked in several fields: environment, oil and chemical pollution from shipping, gas detection, contingency planning, and lately I have been deeply involved in food and beverages.

For the last 10 years I have been involved in the food and beverage industry managing innovation, scouting cutting edge technologies, developing networks and promoting collaborative projects.
